After the launch of AI Overviews in Norway, the battle for visibility has become tougher. Through targeted SEO initiatives we have implemented, Huma has secured both rank 0 and placements in AI Overviews – and is now taking ownership of key searches in the HR market.

What needed to be done Challenge

When Google rolled out AI Overviews in Norway, the search landscape changed dramatically. Now Google’s own AI-generated answers appear at the top – and the classic organic results are pushed further down.

This sets new requirements for how we work with SEO: To stay visible, it’s no longer enough to just rank high – we now have to reach the very top. For Huma, that meant adapting content and structure so they were selected as a source in AI Overviews and captured rank 0.

  • Several pages have moved from 7th–8th position to rank 0 and 1st position
  • 90% of the pages we worked on have increased organic visibility
  • Huma is now featured in AI Overviews for several key searches
  • Increased authority and higher rankings across the entire domain

What we did The solution

We analyzed how AI Overviews retrieves and structures information, and optimized Huma’s content accordingly:

  • We sharpened the content to more precisely match the search intent
  • We structured the content the way language models "prefer" – with clear structure, answer-focused phrasing, and bullet points
  • We made technical adjustments and improved the semantics to ensure better interpretation by Google

The initiatives were tested, measured, and adjusted – and several pages now rank both in Overviews and at position 0, while overall rankings have improved.
